As you are working your business- Don’t be like everyone else-
don’t let others define what you are and what you should
do…Be Creative- The most successful people
in business think outside the box. Do things
a little differently to shake up the box.
If you are in a professional environment with suits and ties –
hand out funny business cards once in awhile or wear a
fun tie tack… My dad was a engineer and would wear
tie tacks and brightly colored clothing all the time- including purple pants!
He always looked like a million bucks and was the best dressed everywhere he went, but
he could get away with it because he did it tastefully. Do stuff
to make your customers notice you. Women can wear a special piece of
jewelry etc..
Don’t do things like everyone else… get creative…think of little things you can
do to make yourself stand out that will draw business to you. I hand children a picture of my dog where I work. The kids love it- and it’s cheap and I make myself a hero with the parents. We have a water fountain in my business establishment and the kids all look at it..I tell them they have to put their finger in it it’s the rule…so that makes them happy again another brownie point with parents…so it can be on your body, in your attitude and just marketing differently when doing ads…make them stand out…
I did classifieds for a long time in the papers…offer a free gift…write a funny line as a grabber, I also
did tables etc…and I would even bring cheerleading stuff as I was training my team of 100’s and would cheer for people – this was a very relaxed moment…but hey- it was on the edge…but people bought and signed up… Never listen to your critics…The famous saying if you aren’t in trouble you aren’t working is so true.You have no reason to be in troubl
…because YOU AREN”T DOING ANYTHING>>>AND MANY TIMES YOU HAVE TO JUST TRY STUFF TO SHAKE THINGS UP>>> Stay away from grouchy people they usually are jealous and aren’t making any money…Hang out with the super stars. Top performers usually have a star seat next to the boss where they have you in the office asking why did you do this…or we had this situation…but trust me they love you to death…and you can do no wrong they just have to keep all the complainers in the office happy by bringing you in to say they talked with you.
I always spot the top performer when I go to the company…he’s the office pet, the dumby, the crazy guy…but he’s also making the money!!! I usually spot him and make good friends and partner with him so the top performers keep making more and more as you should be nice to everyone and you both make more because you exchange ideas etc..-
Never be mean to a top performer…help him…If you are a woman and see a beautiful girl don’t be jealous give her a necklace and make her more beautiful so you have a part in her beauty. –Think on the edge, work on the edge, shake stuff up…think outside of the box…carry a notebook around and just brainstorm and try stuff…what’s the worse that can happen…maybe you’ll invent the next pet rock! and make a million bucks.
I worked for a very successful businees man who said I look at everything you never know where your next buck is coming. Only work with those who can promote you and tune out the critics or you won’t be going forward you’ll just be where you are now forever — hang with the top performers not just in your company- don’t get gridlocked with one company but reach out and talk to everyone in all the companies meet the top performers…You will be one after awhile. — don’t be a gripper but be a dreamer,,,don’t be a gossiper but be a reader and studier in your spare time. — and most importantly you need a little faith mixed in there. I am a firm believer in praying for creative ideas and direction. Let’s face it we all need God..like a good bath..we don’t choose to, we do it because it’s just right.You’ll get creative ideas that just come naturally through prayer. Take time this week and get a notebook and just put down some things you’ve never tried…in all areas of life…drive to work a different way…wear a new style… call up someone you;d be afraid to-
try a new marketing strategy.

“When you know the ‘why’ the ‘how’ gets easy.” – Jim Rohn
We are going to hit on that “G” word again … Goals. By now you have had, or have at least have plans to have your “board meeting”. When you deciding on your goals and sharing them with your spouse, ask yourself the following questions:
1. How will I feel when I achieve the goal?
2. How will it benefit my business?
3. What will it do for my family?
4. How will I feel because of the difference I have made in the lives of others?
Here are 6 points to remember when goal setting:
1. A goal gains power when it is written down. This allows it to become substantial and it will then begin to sketch itself into your subconscious mind. Post your goal in various places around your house where you will see it often.
2. A goal gains power when it depicts an event. Put it in terms of who, what where, when and then add DETAIL!
3. A goal gains power when its benefits are expressed. Select your destination, define it, depict an actual event and put yourself into it. Be sure to make it exciting…it needs to lift your spirits!
4. A goal gains power when entered into the subconscious mind. Use color, touch, emotional feelings and responses, taste and smell, and sounds.
5. A goal gains power when the subconscious mind delivers the “how”. Break your goal into bite-sized daily steps.
6. A goal gains power when you act now!
A goal is a dream with a deadline. Be sure that your goal has a deadline, that it is written down and SHARED! Follow these action plans and as Zig Ziglar says, “We’ll see YOU at the top!”
